The Variety Club of Western Australia carries out a number of fundraising activities and the Swan Brewery Variety Club Bash is the biggest of those events.

Each year, proceeds go towards assisting children and young people in need. The Variety Club prides itself in endeavouring to ensure that 93 cents in every dollar raised goes to its beneficiaries.The "Bash" is a madcap fundraising event staged each year by the Variety Club of Western Australia.

The Crew of Car 888 - "Where's Wally?" is enthusiastically embracing the challenge of raising as much money as possible for this worthy cause. Bash crews raise some amazing sums of money - as much as AUD $100,000.

The Variety Club Bash raises around $1,000,000 each year and this money goes to provide a range of projects and equipment for our special children in Western Australia. Have a look at the Variety Club web site for details of these projects.

The Bash is not an elitist event. It provides an opportunity for ordinary, concerned, caring people to enjoy a motoring event in the Australian Bushland without the pressures or expenses of competitive sport, whilst at the same time raising money for the world's greatest children's charity - The Variety Club.

Participants must have... a big heart... a deep pocket... a thick skin... they must able to endure dust, flies, being wet, being cold, having fun, mud, camping, irregular meals or lack of bathroom facilities and have the ability to sleep anywhere, sounds great hey!!!!!.

The Swan Brewery Variety Club Bash is a whacky endurance event of cars and crews. It is the culmination of a full year's fundraising activities and is an experience for participants like no other.

The Bash is scheduled to leave from somewhere around Perth, Western Australia and return to somewhere else around Perth, (for those that return, that is )and is limited to about 60 Pre - July 1965 Cars.
