Entrants in the Swan Brewery Variety Club Bash

The "Bash" is a madcap fundraising event staged each year by the Variety Club of Western Australia. Our unique Pontiac Bonneville ambulance is going to join about 60 to 70 cars of pre 1965 vintage, as they set off into the outback bush, decorated in all sorts of zany themes.

En route, crews must be prepared for absolutely anything, like being attacked by leaping nuns or getting past a road-block set up by Mexican peasants, performed by the entertainment crew known as the Dog Squad. Roadside parties and other spontaneous activities are the order of the day, every day.

Absolutely anything can and will happen. Any misdemeanours by the crew like sticking to the speed limit or not having enough fun attract severe penalties, depending on how much your crew has raised.

The Bash cars are accompanied by a sizeable entourage including medical, mechanical repair, entertainment, catering and official crews.
